Terrorism - Question 3 Empty Terrorism - Question 3

Post by Admin Tue Apr 12, 2016 10:58 am

Donald Trump has stated in his speeches that the families of terrorists should be punished for the crimes of their family members, if they are aware of their participation is terroristic acts. The Misfit masterminds the murders of both women and children. Are Trump and the Misfit alike? Consider that the Misfit executed the whole family in Flannery O'Connor's story, "A Good Man Is Hard To Find" (Norton, pages 480 - 481).

No The Misfit and Donald Trump are not alike. The Misfit does not discriminate between any of his victims, and even killed a white family without any regards(Pages 478-480). Trump has fueled people's anger, hatred, insecurities, and fear to justify his actions and his beliefs. Trump is in theory, an angry man with an angry mob behind him that will burn and kill now and ask questions later. Trump has the motive and the resources. The Misfit has no motive but has the resources.

While The Misfit does murder an innocent family without being provoked nor disrespected (Norton, pages 480 - 481)., Donald Trump Feels as though his country has been provoked by terrorists and their family and he seeks retribution. According to multiple news sources, Trump advocates the removal and imprisonment for relatives of terrorists, Not Death.

In the story "A Good Man Is Hard To Find" by Flannery O'Conner, the Misfit is a criminal that blames God for the worlds mistakes so he feels as if he is making the world balanced(pg. 480-481). The Misfit gets rid of people he feels needs to be gone no matter women of children. Donald Trump is trying to send back a whole race, even more than one. He says they are the problem with America. Donald and the Misfit is not so different they both get rid of people they feel do not belong.
